Never Too Many
The doors are closing on Saul Rosenbloom's video rental store and Saul has one last chance to convince Alice that, even if life doesn't always turn out like it does in the movies, you still need to follow your heart.
A Fair Exchange
Perry and Joanna support one another through a recent loss, but the real cause of their regret goes back two years. They're hopeful taking in an exchange student will help fill in a little of what's missing in their lives.
Gondola
A moonlit night on the waters of Venice is the ideal setting for poetry, romance and little white lies. Antonio's gondola is the best on the canal, but the boat's barely big enough for this evening's passengers and their plans; he'll need all his sailor's instincts to navigate these choppy waters.
Snow Day
He is old and isolated but can still recall the precious connection he once had to the daughter that chose to no longer be a part of his life. She is a child wondering if her father will ever return. They meet on a snow day. She requests permission to shovel his long and dangerous driveway with her very inadequate shovel.
I Wonder
Harold and Muriel are locked in a world of fear and immobility in a Eugene Ionesco style of comic surrealism filled with a sense of the absurd. The play is a satiric attack against the xenophobia and isolationist mentality reminiscent of our current social situation, where love of neighbor is buried under a disproportionate need for security.
Got No Claim
Most nights at Mike's are pretty quiet. But throw in a dead lover, a distraught mistress, an even more distraught younger mistress, a pining bar owner and a peanut-tossing drunk and things can get interesting.
The Late Gordon Kaplan
Gordon was considered a mensch, a man who was respected for his kindness and charitable giving. He had one troubling fault. His friends dismissed it, but not his wife, Norma. Would she rewrite his epitaph?

Former Lake Kitchawanians Neil Kroener and Lew Zwick Perform "Paper Doll" (Video by Lew Zwick, 2014)...
Today I had the opportunity to reminisce about old times with Bobby Finney, formerly of Laurel Road here in the magic kingdom of Lake Kitchawan. Bobby's father purchased his childhood house in 1947, when Bobby was only two years old. He and Neil Kroener grew up together and also served in the Marines during the Viet Nam war. Bobby said he would send us some vintage photos of Lake Kitchawan during his early days growing up here. In the meantime, you may want to visit Neil Kroener with Lew Zwick doing a terrific rendition of "Paper Doll". –Joe

"The Computer Lesson," written by the LKA's Myles Gansfried (Video by Tony Sage, 2017)...
Lake Kitchawan Association resident and playwright Myles Gansfried is getting quite a name for himself when it comes to his one-act plays. Here's (see below) his, "The Computer Lesson," which has received some very positive reviews and substantial exposure at regional theaters in Westchester and Fairfield over the past couple of years; most recently at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, in early July. "The Computer Lesson" was directed by Kay Mayr, with Larry Greeley in the leading role of Morey, Rick Haylon as Morey's son, Alan, and Roberto Perez as the computer tech.
This weekend, Gansfried and fellow LKA neighbor and actor Joe Niola team up to compete for honors in the Aery Theater Company's 11th Annual 20/20 One-Act Play Festival on Saturday evening, September 16th, in Garrison, with a comedy entitled: "In Geoffrey We Trust." Here's THE LINK, elsewhere on this website, for more on the event, including the ticketing link at BrownPaperTickets.com. As the copy on the email we received notes about this upcoming Aery Festival: "Over the course of two weekends, 20 original one-act plays are winnowed by popular vote down to a single champ. The power to bestow theatrical glory rests in the hands of the audience. Participatory art at its best–and most ruthless."
